Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Droppe (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit droppefinance.comor join the Droppe waitlist. We're a pre-launch company based in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada.

We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). If you're visiting from outside Canada, your information will be transferred to and stored in Canada and the United States.

1. What we collect

The only personal information we actively collect right now is:

  • Your email address, when you join the waitlist.

We also automatically collect some technical information when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages viewed. This is standard server log data used to keep the site running and detect abuse. It is not used to identify you personally.

2. How we use your information

We use your email address to:

  • Send you updates about Droppe's progress toward launch.
  • Notify you when Droppe is available for early access.
  • Confirm your waitlist signup with a welcome email.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your email to third parties. We do not use your email for purposes unrelated to Droppe.

3. Who we share it with

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the waitlist and deliver emails. These providers only receive the information they need to perform their service for us:

  • Loops (loops.so) — stores your email and delivers our waitlist emails. Loops is based in the United States.
  • Netlify (netlify.com) — hosts the droppefinance.com website. Netlify may process technical log data.
  • GoDaddy (godaddy.com) — provides our domain registration and DNS.
  • PostHog (posthog.com) — privacy-focused product analytics. PostHog records anonymous events such as page views, clicks, and waitlist signups so we can understand how the site is used. We configure PostHog to use localStorage only (no cookies). When you join the waitlist, PostHog associates your email with a single signup event so we can measure conversion accurately. PostHog is based in the United States.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Droppe, our users, or others.

4. How long we keep your information

We keep your email on the waitlist until you ask us to remove it, or until we decide to retire the waitlist. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

5. Your rights

Under PIPEDA and similar laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your information from our records.
  • Unsubscribe from our emails at any time — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also reply to any email asking to be removed.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, with reasonable notice.

6. Cookies and tracking

We don't use marketing cookies or ad-tracking pixels. We use PostHog for privacy-focused product analytics, configured to use localStorageonly — no cookies are set on your browser for analytics. Your browser may receive small functional cookies from Netlify for security and HTTPS purposes; these don't identify you.

You can disable PostHog tracking entirely by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, or by clearing your browser's localStorage.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on our service-provider accounts, and limiting access to your data to people who need it. No system is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard practices.

8. Children's privacy

Droppe is intended for users 16 years of age or older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 16. If you believe a child has signed up, please email us and we'll remove the record.

9. International data transfer

Some of our service providers (Loops, Netlify) are based in the United States. By joining the waitlist, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States, subject to the protections in this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be communicated via the waitlist email list.
